#Survivor
Project Survivor is a 2002 manual Lexus is300 that we got saved from coming apart in Jan 2018. And today in May 2020 we are going to finally finish the #survivor project. Follow us on this small adventure while we “restore” / bring back to life this survivor out of – not much left manual versions of lexus IS300. When we are done, you will have a chance to buy it. Anyway, let’s begin.

2002 Lexus is300 manual with over 271k miles.
This was the condition when we got it, and we way overpaid. But our owner wanted a manual shop errands car, so we let it be.

This image was taken after it was fixed, even thought it may look “good”, the hood had a bunch of bondo from the first donor parts, peeling clear coat, bumper the same, and the engine – even though its legendary 2jzge (non-turbo), had seen better days. 270K miles had took its toll, and after we drifted for a few days on, burning almost all sets of tires we had spare the engine was still alive, but near its end.
We had a spare laying around with 120K, (from another manual is300) the engine was clean not a drop. So, we installed it. and then parked the #survivor for a year. Yes, until 2019 it will not be used. It is a survivor, so we are not finished yet.
Recently a donor was acquired to restore this guy and the first upgrade was to give the survivor new shoes

looks good right?
