Continuing the story of Axelis, Lexus IS250 that was “axed”.
After taking some chemicals to the body work and cleaning most of the spray paint of the exterior body panels, we found out that only three body panels need replacement. Rear left door, hood (obviously), front bumper.
The interior was gutted completely and everything besides the dashboard was replaced, lucky us we have those parts or boy – it would be expensive.
Exterior body of the Lexus is being worked-on in multiple places, which in result, sentenced this car to a complete re-paint. But the pearl white in which these cars came from factory is simply amazing.
The engine was repaired, replacing the top right valve cover, air intake, coolant assembly. Did I mentioned that the gas tank had paint in it? We obviously replaced it with a good one along with a fuel pump and hoses, but until this moment I have not started the engine. To prove my trust in reliability of Lexus. It started right up and ran like new.
Axelis got a brand-new set of aftermarket headlights emulating the newer 2012 IS models with the led stripe on the bottom. Its still work in progress but we are getting close…
